Welcome to Kuleana Education Academy in Kona, Hawaii

At Kuleana Education, we believe in meeting every child where they are so

they can succeed now and in the future.

Our mission is to empower students through an individualized curriculum utilizing experiential learning. We provide a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, community involvement, and lifelong learning. 

   Kuleana Education Academy is a licensed, fully accredited non-profit, Kindergarten through 8th grade, college preparatory, private elementary school and middle school, located in Kona, Hawaii. At Kuleana Education Academy, we nurture confident and accomplished children by combining a 21st Century approach to student learning with highly effective character development principles. Our elementary and middle school have small class sizes to ensure that meaningful and quality lessons are tailored to the holistic development of every student at Kuleana Education.

At Kuleana Education, all students take Japanese as a foreign language, Social Emotional Learning, Mindfulness, and Physical Education in addition to core classes. Additionally, Kuleana Education has many rescue animals living on campus on our mini farm. This includes animals such as bunnies, guinea pigs, cats, turtles, birds, and goats. We teach students about animal care and the importance of rescuing, fostering, and caring for animals. We also take in rescue animals and help find permanent placements for them.
